What we are looking for

As our Group Sales Executive for International & Domestic markets the main purpose of your role is to support the Group Sales Manager and the Group Director of Sales – Corporate, Leisure & Wholesale to sell The Star Entertainment Group hospitality areas to drive business from the International, Domestic and Leisure markets and maximise occupancy and yield opportunities in FIT, Groups and Incentives.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Supporting the Group Sales Manager – International with all administration tasks, including but not limited to updating the client database, booking appointments and flights, arranging site inspections, assisting with proposals, making clients reservations and sending confirmations
  • Assist the Group Sales Manager – International in the development and implementation of business plans and new sales strategies with the intent to secure appropriate business within The Star Entertainment Group
  • Focus on FIT, Group and incentive business increase revenue via sales, based on reaching and exceeding budget
  • Assist the Sales Manager’s and Director of Sales in overall strategic direction and outlining your core objective for each market to develop a sales action plan to ensure you meet your identified KPI’s
  • Understand the organisations that can provide business for The Star Group their motivators and influencers and grow their business, ensure introductions across all key accounts
  • Drive initiatives to create new and repeat business
  • Target activity and then measure own results to ensure progress is being made based on strategies set
  • Provide direction and support to Group Sales Coordinator for an integrated system of employee relations and performances, while ensuring organisational objectives are prevalent in any new initiatives
  • Conduct site inspections and famils encouraging cross training on all three properties

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality, Hotels or Business fields
  • Experience within the wholesale and incentive and/or travel and leisure markets within a high-volume organisation
  • Strong organisational skills to cope with a fast paced and forever changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills- fluency in Mandarin is also advantageous
  • Strong administration and computer skills- experience using Delphi and Opera or similar sales and catering systems is advantageous
